Catherine, darling, when you read this book in years to come I hope it will bring back dear memories of our college days together where we shared our hikes, dances, joys, and troubles together. “Cat” I’ll always include you in my best circle of college friends. May our friendship not break when we leave college but be everlasting.

Historical Note
The mention of being “Red Devils” is a great piece of evidence for the school’s identity. Historically, the “Red Devils” was the mascot/nickname for the athletic teams at Farmville State Teachers College (now Longwood University) during that era!
